Summary of Accountabilities: The Divisional Program Administrator will serve as the leader for the administrative, programmatic and financial aspects of the Division for the following programs for the Division of Hematology-Oncology: Solid Cancers, Benign Hematology, Breast Cancer and Genetic Counseling. He/she will also support the DDA to oversee community practice sites.Responsibilities include:¢\tProvides divisional support and leadership under the direction of the DDA, serves as second in command in the divisional administrative organizational structure. The DPA will have direct oversight of divisional clinical and non-clinical support staff for its assigned programs¢\tDivisional financial oversight including but not limited to divisional and site specific assets and expense management, creation and participation in fiscal year budget planning, month end budget close review, P&L review and physician RVU reporting. ¢\tAchieves optimal patient access partners with faculty, clinical practice, and call center leadership to insure patient access is maintained and metrics are achieved through consistency of scheduling practices, wait list management, call center protocols, and administrative assistant work flows allowing for a seamless and pleasant patient experience during scheduling process as well as improving and maintaining access for new patients.¢\tWorks closely with physician leadership to provide support for the administrative aspects of their roles. Becomes the conduit between the faculty and administrative support staff to understand current roles, assess talent and existing work flows, address areas of improvement, and implement new work flow if identified. Assess needs for additional or reduction in staffing.¢\tProvides support for the Clinical Divisional Administrator around project management and business development. Assists with looking at 3-5 year business plans, current needs, and site specific program growth. Work with divisional administrator to roll out division wide initiatives, year compliance (flu, TB, annual review, Knowledge Link compliance).¢\tDivisional Administrative Management manages the day to day operations of the administrative support staff at the PCAM/HUP campus and insures that it is properly staffed with qualified candidates, job responsibilities are understood and delivered, UPHS policies and procedures are communicated and followed

Certifications/Degree Requirements: Master's Degree in Business Administration or related healthcare degree. MBA or MHA strongly preferred.\nWork Requirements: 1-3 years previous secretarial/managerial experience, preferably in a health care setting; knowledge of accounting procedures; proficient in business communications skills; PC software applications
