Summary of Accountabilities: The Financial Administrator will manage all the financial aspects of the Division of Hematology- Oncology under the supervision of the Director of Division Administration (DDA), supervise the revenue cycle team and the payroll coordinator for the Division.Responsibilities include:¢ Preparing monthly financial package for practices sites; including income statement and physician benchmarks reporting¢ Preparing and reviewing assigned monthly financial statements, general ledgers for completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness of budget variance analysis.¢ Preparing annual budgets. Preparing request to recruit for new providers in coordination with the DDA and overseeing utilization of professional accounts and start up funds. Managing Physician Compensation Plan in coordination with the DDA (Target Settings, Letters, Comp Amendments, RVU Reporting and reconciliation)¢ Responding to information requests from Department of Medicine Director of Finance, DDA, Division Chief, Director of Finance¢ Providing assistance and support to Divisional stakeholders (i.e. Operations personnel & faculty)Providing support for the DDA around project management and business development. Assists with looking at 3-5 year business plans, current needs, and site specific program growth.. Managing with the billing supervisor and DDA the day to day operations of the revenue cycle and payroll support staff at the PCAM/1500 Market Street campuses and insures that it is properly staffed with qualified candidates, job responsibilities are understood and delivered, UPHS policies and procedures are communicated and followed.

Certifications/Degree Requirements: Certifications/Degree Requirements, Minimum Experience Required:\nBachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred. Four years' experience in accounting or financial reporting (Health care preferred) required. Strong technical background in generally accepted accounting principles for Healthcare providers. Excellent knowledge of personal computers specifically knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Lawson Insight, HYPERION budgeting system and BEN.\n Work Requirements: Ability to be dedicated to the timely completion of all tasks, to listen effectively and ask educated questions. Inclinations to be a self-motivator, apply creativity and conceptualization effectively with management. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Wherewithal to make suggestions to enhance present procedures and internal accounting controls. Dedication to the effective completion of duties assigned while promoting a positive attitude toward other staff
